Named “spheres of light” by Antonio Neri in 1612, the first gazing globes date back to 13th century Venice. Each 6" diameter globe has a stem at the base that keeps it sitting securely in the stand. Sealed with a rubber gasket at the base to prevent moisture damage to the interior.
