How To Wash Clothes With A Washboard

You will need:

• A washboard
• 2 washtubs (one for soap, one for rinsing)
• Soap (lye soap or 20 mule team borax)

Apply a small amount of soap to clothing. Scrub clothing on the ridges of the washboard, working in soap and water. Apply more soap and repeat scrubbing. Rinse in clean water to remove soap.
