Cant Hooks constructed from the highest quality materials
available. Handles are top quality white mountain hickory hardwood
air dried to 18% moisture content, then precision cut to an exact
fit. Duckbill Hooks are drop forged with the bills ground to a fine
point. Clasps and extension toe rings are ductile iron castings
for long lasting service. Heads are painted, handles have a clear
lacquer finish.

Peavys
|
These Peavys feature handles turned from select White
Mountain Hickory air dried to 18% moisture content, then precision
fitted with the finest tool available to the industry. Duckbill
Hooks are drop forged high carbon steel with the bill ground to
a fine point. Drawn carbon steel socket, and a pick forged from
high carbon steel before being solidly driven into the handle. The
socket is held securely in place with a special retaining tab forged
into the pick.

Skidding Tongs
|
These Skidding Tongs are upset forged from round steel
to position additional steel at critical strees areas. Points are
fine ground to assure long lasting sharpness. Tong sizes 3/4 and
1 inch are supported by special Tong Shut. Tong size 1-1/4 uses
Screw Pin Anchor Shackles. 3/8 Swivel Grab Hook in sizes 3/4 and
1 inch and 1/2 Forged Swivel Grab in size 1-1/4. Tongs are specially
shaped to grab and hold poles and logs for skidding and dragging
operations. |

Timber Carrier

One-piece drop forged steel construction and ground
to a fine point sized 7/16"
x 7/8" Ductile iron cast clasp provides higher strength. Clasp
is open at top and drawn tight by a bolt, eliminating the need for
a bolt hole through the handle. Heavy steel swivel allows free move-ment,
permitting timber passage through narrow areas. Finished product
is designed to handle logs from 3 to 16 inches in diameter. Handles
are turned in a 2-1/2" diameter in 4, 4-1/2 foot lengths of
White Mountain Hickory air dried to 18% moisture content. Painted
hardware, clear lacquer finished handle.
