There are several different recipes to make Kombucha Tea, but they are all pretty much the same, and they must be followed precisely, if not the tea can turn out to be deadly because of the bacterial cultures. The ingredients for Kombucha Tea include: 2 liters of boiling water, 160 grams white sugar (approx 1 cup), 2 tea bags (black or green tea), 1 herbal tea bag, 1 healthy Kombucha culture, and 1 cup of Kombucha fermented brew (mother tea) as a starter. Materials you will need for making the tea are: one 2 - 4 liters (2 - 4 quarts) pot to boil water, one 2 - 4 liters (2 - 4 quarts) Kombucha stoneware crock, a rubber band, a linen/cotton handkerchief or a paper tissue, and bottles. |
