Vestal Cast Iron Safety Fireplace Grate

This small safety cast-iron, one-piece grate is self feeding. Its deeply contoured design continually lowers the burning logs to the grate bottom ember bed. The contoured basket also ensures that logs will not tumble out onto the fireplace as they shift and burn. This eliminates a possible fire hazard, thus the name Safety Grate.
