This cap features a 24-ga. lid with 18-ga., 3/4" galvanized steel, 6 1/2" high mesh. For extra strength, the base is constructed of 14-ga. galvanized steel. And for added security against animal invasion, you'll find the lower edges of the mesh are folded inward. This cap has a high temperature, rust resistant, satin smooth black finish of the Hy-C galvanized chimney cap and has a seven-year warranty for workmanship.
