This sturdy garden tool helps to increase the rate of material decomposition in your compost pile. The Compost Aerator is pushed into the pile of decaying material with its wings in their retracted position. By pulling up on aerator, the wings deploy, allowing the user to efficiently mix oxygen into the compost which helps to prevent odors (the result of anaerobic decomposition).
