Dixie Timber Carrier

A Timber Carriers is used for transporting heavy timbers and logs. The long handles allow room for two persons on each side of the carrier. One-piece drop forged steel construction and ground to a fine point sized 7/16" x 7/8". Ductile iron cast clasp provides higher strength. Clasp is open at top and drawn tight by a bolt, eliminating the need for a bolt hole through the handle. Heavy steel swivel allows free move-ment, permitting timber passage through narrow areas. Finished product is designed to handle logs from 3 to 16 inches in diameter. Handles are turned in a 2-1/2" diameter in 4, 4-1/2 foot lengths of White Mountain Hickory air dried to 18% moisture content. Painted hardware, clear lacquer finished handle.
