Dixie Cant Hooks - Red Hill General Store

A Cant Hook is a traditional logging tool consisting of a wooden lever handle with a movable metal hook at one end, used for handling and moving logs. While similar to a peavey, the Cant Hook has a blunt tip, often with teeth. Dixie Industries Cant Hooks are constructed from the highest quality materials available. The handle is from top quality white mountain hickory hardwood air dried to 18% moisture content, then precision cut to an exact fit. Duckbill Hook is drop forged with the bill ground to a fine point. Clasp and extension toe ring are ductile iron casting for long lasting service. Head is painted, handle has a clear lacquer finish.

Available in 5 sizes: 3, 3 1/2, 4, 4 1/2, 5ft.
3-4ft. Cant Hooks are for logs sizes of 6 to 16in.
4 1/2 & 5ft. Cant Hooks are for logs sizes of 8 to 24in.
